FAQ's
What is the maximum guest count allowed for day and night?
We can accommodate up to 60 guests, including children, in the stableyard. For more space, an additional marquee can accommodate up to 120 guests.
Is there a designated area for the bride to get ready?
Yes, the Old Stone Cottage is the perfect location for the bridal party to get ready for the big day
Is there a kitchen available for the catering companies?
Yes, it’s included in the venue hire, and there is also a prep room.
What time will the wedding venue remain open on the wedding day?
The party at the stableyard does not have to stop early. You can enjoy the festivities till late. We remain open till 1 am
Can guests leave their cars overnight?
Yes, there is ample parking for guests, and they can collect their cars the next day.
Can we have a fire?
Yes, we can provide a fire pit and wood. However, it will be your responsibility to ensure fire safety regulations are followed.
What about booze - do you charge a corkage?
No, what you do with booze is up to you.
Can we bring a family pet along to the big day?
Yes, we have had dogs and even a horse attend the big day. We do ask that we be notified before the event, and pets are only brought by the couple getting hitched.
Is there a Master of Ceremonies?
We do not have a master of ceremonies; however, most couples choose a close friend or family member to act as one. Or you can hire an MC for the day.
Is there on-site accommodation for guests?
We do have another one-bedroom cottage accommodation available for guests on the estate. The lovely village of Saintfield and the surrounding villages offer a wide range of accommodation options for all budgets
Are tables and chairs included?
Yes, indoor and outdoor tables and chairs are included in the venue hire.
What time can we arrive?
You may arrive at 9 am the previous day to set up and anytime on the day of the wedding.
